Maria DeCotis is a NYC based actress and writer from Fayetteville, Georgia. She graduated with her BFA in Acting, Cum Laude from Boston University with a concentration in Playwriting. She is currently working in film, television, commercial, and live comedy.

She approaches every artistic endeavor as an invitation to create a communicative environment to connect people of all backgrounds. She aims for storytelling to encourage peace, understanding, and empathy for each other's unique human experiences. 

She worked with Commedia dell’Arte professionals in Italy. She is currently in the Advanced Study Improv Program at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, performs in venues around the city with her improv groups Apostrophe and Sister Wives, is a ukulele singer-songwriter (iTunes and Spotify), playwright, and Lindy Hopper.
